Ducati India launched a new variant of the Hypermotard range. The new Hypermotard 950 SP has been launched in the country. By this, the price tag for the new Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP would be Rs 19.05 lakh. Offered alongside the other variants available in the market, such as the 950 RVE and the recently launched Hypermotard 698 Mono, is the latest Hypermotard 950 SP.

The new SP makes it a step ahead of the basic RVE by featuring a different paint scheme together with better parts and alloy wheels, among others. Adjustable Ohlins suspension comes on the new Hypermotard 950 with 48mm USD forks at the front, providing 185mm of travel, while a mono-shock provides 175mm at the rear.

Another important result of this new suspension setup is an increase in seat height by 20mm to 890mm. The motorcycle runs on Marchesini forged alloy rims. Taking care of the tyre duties on the new Hypermotard 950 SP are Pirelli Supercorsa SP tyres, while the 950 RVE gets Pirelli Rosso 3 rubber. Other changes include a new color scheme and body graphics in addition to carbon fiber body panels.

The Hypermotard 950 SP is powered by the same 937cc L-twin, Testastretta engine that develops 114 bhp and 96 Nm of peak torque. The motor is paired to a 6-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch. The Testastretta engine powers many engines in Ducati's lineup, from the Hypermotard to the DesertX, SuperSport S, Monster, and more. The kerb weight of the 950 SP is 191 kg (kerb), which makes it about 2 kg lighter than the 950 RVE.

The new Hypermotard 950 SP is priced Rs 3.05 lakh higher than the Ducati Hypermotard 950 RVE. These changes are aimed at making the naked motorcycle more dangerous than before.
