Railways: Recently, a big disclosure has been made about the Vande Bharat train in the report of the Railway Safety Commission. The report says that the front coach of the Vande Bharat train is much lighter than the engine of normal trains i.e., the first coach. Indian Railways' semi-high-speed train, Vande Bharat Express, is again in the news. This time, questions have been raised over the safety of the train. Recently, the Railway Safety Commission's report has raised serious questions over the Vande Bharat train's safety. In this report, it has been warned that the front coach of the Vande Bharat train is much light in weight compared to the engine of ordinary trains, i.e. first coach. In such a condition, if cattle or some other hindrance comes on the track, then a high-speed train can become a victim of a serious accident. After this report, former Indian Youth Congress president BV Srinivas has targeted the central government and the Railway Ministry. BV Srinivas posted a video on social media. It has been informed that the Modi government is clipping colorful ribbons, hitting selfies, doing relays, and throwing slogans. 92 railway accidents have occurred, and 25+ people have died in 317 days. The government has not given attention to this shocking report. The government is just doing propaganda. Modi ji's actual minister is not operating the Railway Ministry.

The recently released Railway Safety Commission report has explained in detail that Vande Bharat trains colliding with cattle at high speed can cause serious accidents. Railways should eliminate level crossing gates on routes where trains run at a speed of 160 km per hour. Also, the railways should regularly identify places where there is a crowd or cattle entry and deploy Railway Protection Force personnel there. Apart from this, the report also said that the railways should make arrangements to provide underground passages to farmers to cross with their animals. This warning of the Railway Safety Commission has come at a time when the railways are planning to run Vande Bharat trains at a speed of 160 km per hour on many routes.

The commission's report also states that in case of any accident in Vande Bharat trains, there should be such arrangements that passengers can get out easily and quickly. At the same time, if there is a fire or any emergency in the train, the doors should open automatically so that there is no delay in rescue. Apart from this, there should be a special cable to operate the doors from the cabin (driver's control room) that keeps working even in case of fire. It is difficult to climb up and down the stairs provided for emergencies in trains. It is necessary to make them better. Just like there are strong grab handles outside the Rajdhani Express, Vande Bharat, or other trains should also have such arrangements so that there is ease in holding them while getting out.

This report states that many bogies of Vande Bharat are being made at ICF, Chennai, RCF, Kapurthala and FCF, Rae Bareli. So far, 136 Vande Bharat train services are running across the country, and 62 new trains were introduced in 2024 alone. However, former Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer of ICF, Shubhranshu, says that the front nose cone of these trains has been designed in such a way that it can withstand the collision energy. Apart from this, the cattle guard at the front has been designed to overcome the obstruction and remove it.
