Now only a few days are left for the start of IPL 2024. The first match of the 17th season of IPL will be played on March 22 between defending champions Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore. A big gift has been given to Sarfaraz Khan and wicketkeeper batsman Dhruv Jurel. BCCI has included these two young players in its central contract list for the financial year 2023-24.

During the BCCI Apex Council meeting on Monday, it was decided to assign Grade C status to Dhruv Jurel and Sarfaraz Khan. Because no franchise purchased Sarfaraz Khan at the auction, even at the base price of Rs 20 lakh, it is known that he will not participate in the 2024 Indian Premier League. Dhruv Jurel will be seen playing for the Rajasthan Royals at the same time.

Following the fourth test of the five-match Test series against England, BCCI made the list of central contracts public. At the time, it was said that Dhruv Jurel and Sarfaraz Khan would automatically be included in the central contract if they played their third straight Test match in Dharamshala. Now BCCI has given place to both the players in Grade C. Under this contract, both will get a salary of Rs 1 crore each.

Both Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel made their Test debut for India in Rajkot. Both of them won everyone's hearts with their brilliant performance in the debut test. Sarfaraz Khan had scored half-centuries in both innings of the debut test, while Dhruv Jurel had scored 46 runs in the first innings of the debut test and handled the responsibility behind the wicket well.
