The BCCI has revealed the men's and women's domestic tournament schedules for the 2024-25 season. With this, the BCCI has made a number of startling choices. The famous Deodhar Trophy has once again been dropped from the program. At the same time, the toss has been removed from the CK Nayudu Trophy.

The BCCI issued a press statement stating that "The domestic season 2024-25 has been carefully planned, taking into account several factors to strengthen the core of domestic cricket while prioritizing the players' well-being." According to the BCCI, the domestic season will begin on September 5. First and foremost, the Duleep Trophy will be played between September 5 and September 22.

This will be followed by the Irani Trophy from October 1 to October 5. Limited overs cricket will start on November 23 with the T20 tournament Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. At the same time, the Vijay Hazare Trophy will be played from December 21. Meanwhile, the Ranji Trophy will also start from October 11. The Ranji Trophy has been divided into two different phases this time, with the league stage to be held in October and the knockouts to be played in February after a short break.

The Deodhar Trophy has once again been removed from the schedule. The tournament was restarted after a long gap of four years. But it has been removed again after one season.
