The company has its main office in Dubai and works in four main areas such as oil and gas research, oilfield services, mining, and engineering. He is the Founder, Owner, and Chairman of the company and sets its goals for growth and simultaneously runs its day-to-day business.
Under his leadership, Preston Trading grew into a multinational enterprise with operations across the Middle East, Europe, and parts of Africa. The company is well recognized for its ability to integrate sustainable and advanced engineering techniques along with ethical practices in resource extraction.
Since Arif Patel had studied engineering, he had the scientific knowledge to look for new oil reserves which helped him to make the extraction process more efficient, and keep environmental damage to a minimum.
