Mahindra & Mahindra had given Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa an XUV400 electric SUV as a thank-you for his strong performance in the previous year's Chess World Cup. On March 13, Anand Mahindra delivered the electric SUV to the parents of Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa, fulfilling his pledge.
Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa advanced to the FIDE World Cup final, which took place in Baku the previous year. He made history by becoming the youngest player to advance to the Chess World Cup final. The 18-year-old chess prodigy, who had defeated the No. 2 and 3 seeds to face world No. 1 Magnus Carlsen in the final, received praise from Anand Mahindra on social media.

Mahindra & Mahindra has recently given Thar or XUV700 SUVs to Indian athletes who have excelled in international competitions, such as Neeraj Chopra. Mahindra did, however, select the XUV400 for Praggnanandhaa.
The cost of the Mahindra XUV400 ranges from Rs 15.99 lakh to Rs 18.99 lakh. Ex-showroom pricing applies to both. The XUV400 is available in two trim levels and two battery configurations. The larger 39.4 kWh battery has a driving range of 456 kilometres, while the smaller 34.5 kWh battery is claimed to have a range of 375 kilometres. There are two charger options available for its lower EC trim: 3.3 kW and 7.2 kW. However, the EL trim is limited to a 7.2 kW charger.
