Year Ender 2023: From Go First to IndiGo, this is what this year has been like for the Indian aviation industry

This year has been like a roller coaster ride for India's aviation industry. This year, due to the poor financial condition of Go First, the airline's service was temporarily stopped. This airline was started before Indigo. In such a situation, this year is going to be recorded in history regarding the current situation of this company.

In this article, we are giving information only on 7 such cases of India's aviation industry, which will be memorable for the industry this year-

Within a few days, the country recorded the highest domestic traffic in a single day. Right after this, the most shocking thing was that the airline backed by Wadia Group declared bankruptcy.

Go First has closed. However, there have been two more airlines, which had asked the court to stop the service. These two airlines were Akasa Air and SpiceJet.

When the court directed SpiceJet to pay the money in one of the cases, the company said this. Akasa had given this reply in the ongoing case against the pilots.

After big orders from Indian aviation companies, there was a demand from Airbase or Boeing for a Final Assembly Line (FAL) in India, however, this could not happen.

At the same time, Boeing started its biggest service outside America this year in Bengaluru with an investment of Rs 1600 crore. Not only this, Boeing India has increased the annual target from Rs 8,000 crore to Rs 10,000 crore to increase sourcing from India.

In early January, IndiGo became India's first carrier to complete 300 fleet count. Actually, before this, the active fleet of Indigo remained below 300.

Bengaluru-based Star Air inducts E175s into its fleet. The government has invested a lot in schemes like RCS-UDAN but regional airlines in India have been struggling. In such a situation, it was a big achievement.

Indigo has made a profit of Rs 4,197 crore from January to September this year. Profitability didn't return for everyone, but it was a big sign for the country's largest carrier.

Since January, Indian aviation has been gearing up for a bigger goal. The industry has finally overcome the pandemic and Covid has had no impact. Traffic recovered very quickly.
