Triumph India is all set to launch the Daytona 660 in the domestic market. The new motorcycle is already listed on the India website and it has now started arriving at dealerships.

The Daytona is projected to be the most costly 660cc bike in Triumph's portfolio. It will compete against the Kawasaki Ninja 650. Given that the motorcycles have already arrived at dealerships, the debut date might be late June or early July.

Triumph will offer the Daytona 660 in three colors: satin granite, sapphire black, and carnival red. Some design components of the Daytona 660 are derived from the Daytona 675. The front has twin-pod headlamps, a muscular fuel tank, and a fairing.

The Daytona 660 is powered by the same 660 cc engine as the Trident and Tiger Sport. It is a three-cylinder in-line liquid-cooled engine with a firing order of 240 degrees.

However, Triumph has re-tuned the engine. It now produces a maximum power of 93.70 bhp at 11,250 rpm and a peak torque output of 69 Nm at 8,250 rpm.

Apart from the road and rain riding modes, the brand has added a new sport riding mode. Triumph has used a tubular steel perimeter frame. It gets 41mm upside down separate function big piston forks at the front and a Showa mono-shock with pre-load adjustment at the rear.

The sport tourer stops using twin 310mm discs with 4-piston calipers at the front and a 220mm disc with a single-piston caliper at the rear. It is offered with dual-channel ABS.
