Steps are being taken toward developing India, life is getting better; More Indians are traveling by air than ever before

By 2047, the government and the entire nation will have worked to turn India into a developed country. Both the nation's healthcare system and its citizens' standard of living are growing better. Income is rising. In addition to necessities, people's travel expenses are also very high. These findings are supported by two recent studies.

A global study published in The Lancet journal says that by the year 2050, the life expectancy of Indian women may be around 80 years, while the life expectancy of men during this period will be more than 75 years. According to another report, 97 million people have traveled by air in the first quarter of 2024.

According to a global study published in The Lancet journal, the life expectancy of Indian women may reach 80 years by the year 2050. During this period, the life expectancy of Indian men will be more than 75 years. Life expectancy is the average life span of a group. Healthy life expectancy for both men and women in India is estimated to be more than 65 years. Healthy life expectancy refers to the average age until which one can expect to remain healthy.

A global study published in The Lancet journal projects that between 2022 and 2050, life expectancy will increase globally by more than four years for women and nearly five years for men. Globally, the average lifespan for healthy individuals will rise by 2.6 years between 2022 and 2050, from 64.8 years to 67.4 years.

According to researchers, life expectancy is expected to increase due to the prevention of heart diseases, infectious diseases like coronavirus, and maternal, neonatal and nutrition-related diseases. It is noteworthy that the life expectancy at birth in India was 70.8 years in 2019. The Global Burden of Disease (GBD) study has been conducted in collaboration with the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) of Washington University, USA.

Be it international or domestic travel, more Indians are traveling than ever before. In the first three months of 2024, 97 million Indians traveled by air. According to the report "Travel Trends 2024: Breaking Boundaries", a study conducted by Mastercard Economics Institute (MEI), 97 million passengers traveled through Indian airports in the first three months of 2024. Domestic air passenger traffic grew 21 percent over 2019 levels, while international travel increased by four percent.

According to the report, visits to Japan have increased by 53 percent compared to 2019. There has been a 248 percent increase in visits to Vietnam and a 59 percent increase in visits to the US despite the expensive US dollar. From this, it appears that Indians have become economically empowered.

According to the report, Amsterdam, Singapore, London, Frankfurt, and Melbourne are the top five favorite destinations where Indian travelers are going this summer (June-August 2024). The Mastercard Economics Institute, launched in 2020, analyzes macroeconomic trends from a consumer perspective.

India will become a powerhouse for the development of the Indian aviation sector. This hope has been expressed in a report. Netherlands-based ING Bank NV said that airline companies IndiGo and Air India have placed historically large orders for new aircraft. It said India is planning to open many new airports.
