The Indian stock market opened in the green on Monday, the first trading day of the week. In early trade, the Sensex is trading 296.94 points higher at 79,520.05, while the Nifty rose 85.2 points to reach 24,089.95. But after the initial rise, the stock market has seen a decline. The reason for the decline is believed to be foreign fund withdrawal and caution.

BSE Sensex was trading at 79,520.05 points with a gain of 296.94 points in early trade. NSE Nifty was trading at 24,089.95 points with a gain of 85.2 points. Later both the indices started trading with a negative trend. BSE Sensex was trading at 79,159.58 points with a decline of 68.56 points and Nifty was trading at 23,956.55 points, down 48.20 points.

The biggest gainers were Bajaj Finance, Titan, Infosys, HCL Tech, Tata Consultancy Services, and Tech Mahindra out of 30 shares of companies listed on the Sensex. Kotak Mahindra Bank, Tata Steel, Power Grid, and Asian Paints remained in the loss. In Asian markets, South Korea's Kospi was at gain while China's Shanghai Composite, Hong Kong's Hang Sen,g and Japan's Nikkei at loss.

US markets closed with a positive trend on Friday. International standard Brent crude was down 0.21 percent at $ 76.35 per barrel. According to stock market data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were the sellers on Friday and sold shares worth a net Rs 4,227.25 crore.
