After the ECB, the Bangladesh Cricket Board has taken a big action against Shakib Al Hasan, who is the former captain and star all-rounder of Bangladesh, having taken more than 700 wickets for Bangladesh in international cricket. Shakib Al Hasan had retired from T20 International and Test cricket and was dreaming of playing Champions Trophy 2025, but his dream has almost been shattered by the Bangladesh board. Earlier, the ECB had banned him from bowling in its competitions following a probe into his suspected bowling action and the BCB had banned him from domestic cricket besides international cricket.

In fact, Shakib's bowling was investigated after his club Surrey's defeat against Somerset in September this year. This was his only match for the county, in which he scored 12 runs in the first innings and 0 runs in the second innings. The ECB had issued a statement saying Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been suspended from bowling in ECB competitions after an independent assessment of his bowling action. Just simultaneously, now the Bangladesh Cricket Board has also banned him from bowling.

Recently, the ECB had issued a statement that Shakib was ineligible to bowl in the ECB competitions until a reevaluation of his bowling action is passed. Now his dream of playing in the Champions Trophy 2025 might be ruined as BCB barred him from bowling in international and domestic cricket.

Now, coming to the cricket career of Shakib Al Hasan, in his international career, he took 712 wickets in 447 international matches for Bangladesh and scored a total of 14730 runs with the bat.
