Nitin Kumar, Software Development Engineer (SDE)
New Delhi (India), September 14: Nitin Kumar, a young man from remote Uttar Pradesh, has recently secured the lucrative position of Software Development Engineer (SDE) at a reputed IT company. While this achievement may seem ordinary to many in urban areas, the story behind Nitin’s success is a testament to his unwavering determination, his humble origin from a small village, and his journey of overcoming countless obstacles.
Growing up in a family of farmers in the village of Hathmana, UP, Nitin’s path to becoming an SDE wasn’t easy. Initially, he pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering, but even after the support from his parents, Nitin Kumar faced the classic problem that several STEM students often face after graduation: a lack of opportunities in the core field. Moreover, his village lacked the essential internet connectivity required to attend the online classes of the renowned tech-upskilling platform Geekster, of which Nitin was an alumnus. Even after so many struggles, his passion for learning was so much so that he embarked on a daily 10-kilometre journey to access internet connectivity and acquire the skills necessary for his dream job. Nitin’s story serves as an inspiration to other learners at Geekster as students who come from remote backgrounds and aspire to make a mark in the fiercely competitive realm of software engineering and the IT industry.
