Government Approves ₹1,237.58 Crore Investments Under PM-SETU to Upgrade ITIs Across Three States

In order to ensure that the skills training initiatives are made more practical and useful in terms of employment generation, the government is focusing on upgrading ITIs and involving the industries to take part in these endeavors.

For doing so, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship will implement PM-Setu program in full swing. The program, initiated by the Central Government with an estimated budget of ₹60,000 crore, will be implemented in 200 ITI clusters throughout India.

Moreover, investments worth ₹1,237.58 crore from Jindal, ArcelorMittal, Apollo Med-Skills, and other partners have been greenlighted for five clusters located in Gujarat, Odisha, and Telangana states.
