In the domestic market, Maruti Suzuki India sells cars ranging in price from Rs 3.54 lakh to Rs 28.42 lakh (ex-showroom), from the Alto to the Invicto. In comparison to the 139,347 units sold in December 2022, Maruti Suzuki sold a total of 137,551 units in December 2023, a 1.28 per cent decrease.

Maruti Suzuki revealed last week that it would invest about Rs 32,000 crore to build a car plant in Gujarat that will eventually be able to produce about a million cars annually. It is anticipated that the facility will start up in fiscal year 2028–2029.
