There was a major accident in a chemical factory in Kandla, Gujarat, i.e. Emami Agro Plant. This accident happened when the workers were cleaning a chemical tank out of which 5 workers died. It is worth mentioning that the laborers who were cleaning the chemical tank in the factory died due to exposure to the coming toxic fumes. The bodies of all the workers have been brought from the factory to Rambagh Hospital. Among the deceased, 4 are from outside Gujarat, whereas one is said to be a resident of Patan district. Meanwhile, senior officials of the administration have also reached the company to know the exact cause of death.

Kandla-based Emami Agrotech Plant manufactures edible oil, soybean oil, refined palm, biodiesel, and vegetable ghee. According to Kutch East Superintendent of Police Sagar Bagmar, the incident took place at the plant on Wednesday around 12.30 pm. The laborers were cleaning the treatment plant for waste when the accident occurred.

Notably, an employee entered the tank to remove the sludge, and he fainted. Then two employees ran to save him, and they also fainted. Later, two more employees followed them, resulting in a total of five people dying. The identities of the deceased are as follows. These dead were identified as Siddharth Tiwari, Ajmat Khan, Ashish Gupta, Ashish Kumar, and Sanjay Thakur.

As the police, district administration team, and company officials received the information about the accident they reached the spot. The police have sent all bodies to the hospital for post-mortem and started investigations in this regard. At the same moment, a stir was created in the family of the deceased workers and the relatives are crying inconsolably.
