Industry Minister will visit Switzerland and Sweden, to strengthen trade relations
Trade: Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal will go on an official visit to Switzerland and Sweden to increase trade with European countries. This visit is considered important to strengthen the strategic and economic partnership between the two countries.

Commerce & Industry Minister Piyush Goyal is set to make an official trip to Switzerland as well as Sweden in order to hold talks on trade. His visit is scheduled between 9th June to 13th June. His visit is deemed crucial in order to enhance the strategic as well as economic partnership with European nations. His visit is a landmark in furthering India's engagement with the two most innovative economies within Europe. In this meeting, discussions will be held with senior officials, industrialists, and trade associations of both countries, including the minister. There, the Industry Minister will also interact with journalists.
This meeting will start in Switzerland, where the minister will explore opportunities to increase bilateral trade and investment with global CEOs and industry personalities. It will include Swiss industrialists from key sectors such as pharma, life sciences, precision engineering, machine tools, and high-tech manufacturing.
In Sweden, the minister will co-chair the 21st session of the India-Swedish Joint Commission (JCEISC). Here, talks will be held with Sweden's International Trade Minister Benjamin Dosa on economic, industrial, and scientific cooperation. A bilateral meeting is also scheduled between Piyush Goyal and Benjamin Dosa. These discussions will cover a wide range of industries, including advanced manufacturing, innovation, green technology, and sustainable solutions. Sweden's Ericsson, Volvo Group, IKEA, Alfa Laval, and SAAB companies have shown interest in doing business with India.
