Two Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist camps which have been destroyed under the operation Sindoor are situated at two ends of Pakistan's Punjab province. Both Bahawalpur's Markaz Subhan Allah and Narowal's Sarjal camp were Jaish's training camps for suicide squad. Both are being linked with Hamas. These were also Jaish's storage centers for North Atlantic Treaty Organization NATO.

Officials said on Thursday that the Bahawalpur center spread over 15 acres was run under the supervision of Abdul Rauf Asghar. This center has also been notorious for storing weapons and ammunition left behind by NATO soldiers in Afghanistan. These weapons were smuggled here from Afghanistan. Jaish commanders fighting in Afghanistan often used to come and go here. Asghar had also collected M-4 series rifles and other weapons here through a network of criminals in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He has also been involved in arms smuggling. A large consignment of sniper rifles, armor-piercing bullets, night vision devices and rifles were kept in this camp. Regarding the center located in Narowal, officials said that this Markaz was also used to learn the strategies of the Palestinian Hamas group.

The jugalbandi between the Palestinian militant organization Hamas and Jaish is not new. Rather, the relationship between the two increased in 2014 when a Jaish terrorist Mohammad Adnan Ali (codename Doctor) arranged paraglider training for Ramandeep Singh alias Goldie, a member of another group Khalistan Tiger Force in Thailand. According to officials, Jaish's use of tunnels and paragliding for infiltration is inspired by Hamas' modus operandi.

According to officials, there has been regular contact between Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists and Hamas leaders. In February this year, some Hamas leaders had reached Rawalakot and addressed a rally on Kashmir Solidarity Day. Top cadres of Lashkar and Jaish participated in it. The rally was addressed by Hamas spokesperson Khalid Kaddoumi.
