According to the survey, the unemployment rate among graduates aged 15 years and above has decreased to 13.4 percent in 2022-23, which was 14.9 percent a year ago.

According to the latest Periodic Labor Force Survey (PLFS) conducted by the Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation, Chandigarh had the lowest unemployment rate among graduates aged 15 years and above during 2022-23 at 5.6 percent. Delhi was in second place with 5.7 percent.

According to the data, Andaman and Nicobar Islands have the highest unemployment rate at 33 percent, followed by Ladakh at 26.5 percent and Andhra Pradesh at 24 percent. Talking about big states, the unemployment rate in Rajasthan is 23.1 percent and in Odisha, it is 21.9 percent. NSSO started the Periodic Labor Force Survey (PLFS) in April 2017.
