First glimpse of Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 revealed; See design, features, and possible price

Popular bike manufacturer Royal Enfield has unveiled its next offering Himalayan 452. From first glance, it is clear that the new generation Himalayan is a completely new motorcycle, with a fresh design. Come, let us know about it.

The motorcycle features an LED headlamp with LED turn indicators, a smaller windshield, a new beak that looks similar to the Hero Xpulse, a redesigned fuel tank, a larger intercooler, new grab handles, a new exhaust as well a new grille all around. Graphics are available.

Some other major changes include the upside-down front forks as well as dual-purpose tyres, with the front wheel looking smaller than the 21-inch unit seen on the current Himalayan. This motorcycle has been introduced with spoke wheels.

Royal Enfield is yet to officially confirm the specs of this motorcycle, but the new Himalayan is expected to be powered by a larger 452 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that will produce around 40 hp of power and 45 Nm of torque. It will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox. In contrast, the older Himalayan (current generation) gets a 411 cc single-cylinder air-oil cooled engine, which produces 24 hp power and 32 Nm torque.

The new generation Himalayan 452 will be equipped with a new and larger digital instrument cluster as compared to the digi-analog instrumentation seen on the existing model. The current model is priced starting at Rs 2.16 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Himalayan is expected to be priced heavily considering all the modern bits including the new powertrain, platform, suspension setup, and new technology.
