Death toll in Haryana before Diwali: 18 people died so far, 12 saved

Before Diwali, a wave of death has been seen in Haryana. With the death of six more people who drank poisonous liquor, the death toll in the incident rose to 18. 16 deaths occurred in Yamunanagar while two others died in Ambala district. Additional Superintendent of Police Himadri Kaushik told the media that a total of 18 people have died so far. Seven people have been arrested in the case. At the same time, a case of fire came to light in a society in Sonipat, Haryana, late on the night of 11 November. A fire broke out on the seventh floor of a block of Apex Green Society located on NH 44 and many people were trapped in the flat.

Talking about the arrest of seven people in the spurious liquor case, Himadri Kaushik said that more names have emerged during interrogation and they will be arrested soon. We have alerted the villagers about the incident.

Former chief minister and Congress leader Bhupendra Singh Hooda has held the state government responsible for the deaths. He said that the black drug trade is spreading in Haryana under the patronage of the BJP-JJP government. Poisonous liquor and synthetic medicines are killing the people of the state.
