Cabinet Meeting: Various points including the performance of the government can be discussed in the meeting. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has expressed confidence in forming the government at the Center for the third consecutive time under the leadership of Modi based on its development plans.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached BJP headquarters to chair the meeting of the Union Council of Ministers. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is also present in the meeting. It is believed that this will be the last meeting with the Council of Ministers of his second term. The Prime Minister has been holding meetings of the entire Council of Ministers from time to time to discuss key policy and governance-related issues, but the meeting on Sunday is politically important given the Lok Sabha elections to be held in April-May. The Election Commission may announce the election schedule in the next few days.
The meeting will be held at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan in Chanakyapuri Diplomatic Enclave. Various points including the government's performance can be discussed in the meeting.
