'America's immigration policies are not right', JP Morgan Chase CEO criticized Trump government

JP Morgan Chase's Chairman and CEO Jamie Dimon criticized Trump's administration and stated that immigration must be merit-based. He also stated that immigration policies have never been implemented properly in America. It must be noted here that immigration is a hot issue these days in America and demonstrations were also organized in various cities of America on immigration.

At an event held in San Francisco last week, Jamie Dimon said that 'America is indispensable. It is not indispensable because we are better. It is indispensable because (we have) the best army in the world, we are the richest country in the world, the best economy in the world, we have the best technology, the roots of that technology, we have freedom. These are the things that bring people here. Dimon said that America's role is indispensable. That role is economic, military, education based. This makes people want to come here, stay here, which allows us to be more merit-based, this is what we should do. This is the most important thing.

Dimon recalled that his grandparents came to America from Greece, who never went to high school. Dimon said that he has a list of policies that America has not done well. He said, our mortgage policies are not good. Our immigration policy is not good. We are not doing well in providing affordable housing. We are not able to teach work skills to the youth well. Dimon's comments have come at a time when the Trump administration is taking strict action against immigrants. Illegal immigrants are being forcibly arrested and deported. There was also a riot in Los Angeles last week over this.
