TVS Motor Company has been working on various alternative fuel technologies for several years and has already developed the CNG option. Now, the company intends to include that powertrain option in its Jupiter scooter. According to reports, the Jupiter 125cc CNG scooter will be codenamed U740. This project has also been started. If everything goes as planned, the company will be able to launch it next year, in 2025.

According to Jagran, the company has set a modest target of selling about 1,000 units of its CNG scooter every month. Along with this, this year they plan to launch another electric vehicle, an ICE vehicle, and an E3W vehicle. We are working in this direction. Let us tell you that TVS Motor is the third largest two-wheeler manufacturer in the country, with a market share of 18 percent and sales of 3.15 million units. At the same time, it is also the second-largest scooter manufacturer in India. With this, it sells about 1 million motorcycles and half a million motorcycles annually.

Bajaj Freedom 125 has a tank of 2 kg CNG and 2 liters of petrol. The company is claiming a mileage of 102 km per kg for CNG and 65 km per liter for petrol. Both of these will give a range of about 330 km in one tank. The price of this bike is between Rs 95,000 and Rs 1.10 lakh. At the same time, the ex-showroom price of Jupiter 125, which is currently available, is between Rs 79,299 and Rs 90,480. Looking at this, it is being said that the price of TVS Jupiter CNG can be around this.
