Yuzvendra Chahal Reveals Reason for Missing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Final
Yuzvendra Chahal Health Update: Chahal was last seen playing in a group match against Hyderabad last month. Due to his illness, he will be out of cricket for several months. Chahal has been out of domestic cricket since November 30th.
The Indian star leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal was nowhere to be found playing in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Final match 2025, fought between Haryana and Jharkhand. Jharkhand mauled the bowlers of Haryana. Yuzvendra Chahal's absence in his home side, Haryana, proved to be very expensive for them. In and after the match, everyone kept questioning why Yuzvendra Chahal, the star leg-spinner, was not playing in this very important match. After that, Yuzvendra Chahal told everyone in his social media account about his absence in this historic match.
Yuzvendra Chahal revealed that he is suffering from dengue and chikungunya. The star leg-spinner wrote, "My heartiest wishes to my team Haryana for the SMAT final. I wanted to be a part of the team, but unfortunately, I have contracted dengue and chikungunya, which has significantly affected my health. The doctors have advised me to focus on rest and recovery. I will be back on the field soon and bowling at full strength."
His last outing was in a group game against Hyderabad last month. The illness will see him away from the game for several months. Chahal has not participated in any domestic cricket since November 30th. On his post, Chahal did not state when he will get back. However, he is hoping to return in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, which begins on December 24th.
