Jay Shah took a heart-winning step to help Afghan women cricketers, while Ganguly got a big responsibility in the ICC
After the Taliban rule, it became difficult for the women cricketers of Afghanistan to play and now the ICC has taken a big decision to help them. ICC Chairman Jay Shah has said that a big decision has been taken for these women cricketers. At the same time, Sourav Ganguly has also been given a big responsibility by the ICC again in which VVS Laxman will support him.
The ICC announced Sunday that it was creating a dedicated task force to help displaced Afghan cricketers. In this unprecedented program, the ICC has partnered with the BCCI, England Cricket Board, and Cricket Australia to help these young cricketers both with cricket and personal growth.
On this venture, ICC Chairman Jay Shah stated that at the ICC, inclusivity and giving all cricketers an opportunity to progress, irrespective of their situation, is something to which we are deeply committed. Along with our esteemed partners, we are delighted to introduce this task force and aid fund, which is integrated with an extensive high-performance program, to help displaced Afghan woman cricketers to continue playing cricket.
