Shiv Nadar made more donations as compared to Ambani-Adani; Know his donation in 2023-24

In terms of donation, Shiv Nadar of HCL Technology has left everyone behind. He donated Rs 2,153 crore in the financial year 2023-24 which is 5% more than the donation that received a year ago. According to Edelgive-Hurun India, Reliance chief Mukesh Ambani is second with 407 crores and Gautam Adani of Adani Group is fifth with 330 crores.

According to the list, even if the total amount of many billionaires including Adani, Ambani, and Birla is added, the amount donated by Nader is more than all of them. The Bajaj family, a business family in the automotive and finance sector, donated 33 per cent more on an annual basis, Rs 352 crore, for charity. This family stood third. Kumaramangalam Birla and his family stood fourth with a donation of Rs 334 crore.

As many as 203 people donated more than Rs 5 cr according to Huron. Total wealth of 1,539 people was more than Rs 1,000 cr. Their total wealth increased by 46%. Nadar is at the third place in the list of rich people having wealth of Rs 3.14 lakh cr. While Adani's  wealth is Rs 11.6 lakh cr and Ambani's is Rs 10.14 lakh cr.

The donor list includes Shiv Nadar and family with Rs 2,153 crore, Mukesh Ambani and family with Rs 407 crore, Bajaj family with Rs 352 crore, Kumar Mangalam Birla and family with Rs 334 crore, Gautam Adani and family with Rs 330 crore, Nandan Nilekani with Rs 307 crore, Krishna Chivukula with Rs 228 crore, Anil Agarwal and family with Rs 181 crore, Sushmita and Subroto Bagchi with Rs 179 crore and Rohini Nilekani with Rs 154 crore.
