He has been doing pretty well in the domestic circuit of cricket while representing New South Wales. Konstas has scored 718 runs in just 11 first-class matches at an average of 42.23 so far. According to the Greek Herald, he will replace Nathan McSweeney in the Boxing Day Test.
In the Pink Ball Test against India for PM XI, Sam Konstas played an explosive innings of 107 runs off 97 balls, after which the selectors have now expressed confidence in him and included him in the team.
