In March 2022, Maruti Suzuki sold one million units of its CNG lineup, and since then, the company's portfolio has grown. The first AMT versions of the Tiago and Tigor CNG models were recently introduced by Tata Motors in India.

Exhibited at the just-ended Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024 was the Nexon iCNG concept. This car is anticipated to be released in the Indian market soon. There are rumours that a CNG version of the upcoming Curvv midsize SUV coupe may also arrive soon.
