EICMA 2023: Lambretta introduced Elettra e-scooter concept, created a great mix of new and old design

Popular Italian scooter manufacturer Lambretta has introduced its new Elettra electric scooter concept at EICMA 2023. The brand has demonstrated its electric future through this.

The new Lambretta Elettra e-scooter concept looks remarkably similar to the original scooters of yesteryear, albeit with a neo-retro design with many modern elements. The most striking feature is the rear bodywork, which can be completely raised to access the electric scooter's mechanicals.

The Lambretta Elettra e-Concept is built on a steel frame and looks like a great mix of old and new design. This electric scooter features a modernized design language with DRLs and hexagonal LED headlamps, while the flat floorboard promises ample legroom. The floating single seat also looks retro and adds to the styling of the concept.

The charging socket on the scooter is located on the right side of the panel with a slider. Other attractive features include a pop-out brake lever on the handlebar and indicators on both corners.

The Lambretta Elettra e-scooter concept rides on 12-inch wheels with trail-link front suspension and a linked mono-shock. Power comes from an 11 kW (14.7 bhp) electric motor, with a top speed of 110 km/h (claimed). The company claims that its electric scooter can run up to 127 km on a single charge in Eco mode through a 4.6 kWh battery pack. The e-scooter offers three riding modes – Eco, Ride, and Sport.

Lambretta has not announced when it plans to introduce the Elettra as a production model. The e-scooter has a lot of potential and will do well in markets like Europe. This will build on offerings like the Vida V1, in addition to e-scooters from other companies, which could go on sale in Europe by mid-2024. Lambretta brand was once quite popular in India.
