Nandan Denim Q1 FY27 Results: Net Profit Rises 32% YoY to Rs 14.8 Lakh

However, profit before tax stood at ₹10.32 lakh, compared with ₹14.82 lakh in the year-ago quarter, indicating that the increase in reported net profit was influenced by tax-related adjustments.

The company recorded a ₹5.07 lakh credit arising from the short provision of income tax or deferred tax relating to earlier years. Basic earnings per share increased to ₹0.10 from ₹0.08 in Q1 FY26. 

Nandan Denim also reported an improvement in other income during the quarter. Other income increased 57.8% year-on-year to ₹2.43 lakh from ₹1.54 lakh in Q1 FY26.

The combination of lower expenses and tax-related benefits helped the company protect its bottom line despite the challenging revenue environment.

Alongside its quarterly performance, Nandan Denim has been pursuing initiatives aimed at improving its long-term energy sourcing.

The company recently acquired a 6.1% stake in Opera Vayu (Narmada) Private Limited for ₹4.00 crore. The investment is linked to the procurement of wind and solar power through the group captive renewable energy route. Nandan Denim acquired 40,02,096 equity shares in the entity on July 13, 2026. 

The renewable energy initiative could provide the company with greater visibility over its energy sourcing and support its focus on cost efficiency over the longer term.

The Board has also approved the re-appointment of Jyotiprasad Devkinandan Chiripal as Managing Director for another five-year term, subject to shareholder approval.

The proposed tenure will run from June 1, 2027, to May 31, 2032. Chiripal has more than four decades of experience in the fabric and yarn industry and has served as Nandan Denim’s Managing Director since 2017.
