The Hyundai i20 is one of the most favored premium hatchbacks in this country. It was first launched in 2008 and has remained popular in India till date. Its latest version made its debut in India in 2020. It appears that the company is now planning to introduce its next generation.

It has recently been spotted at Scandinavia. This is the first time this prototype version of the upcoming generation of the Hyundai i20 has been spotted. The new i20 might be launched sometime later this year or early 2027.

Some photos suggest that the cabin of the coming generation of i20 can feature a curved dual display system. Its infotainment screen can come with a size of 12.3 inches, along with a digital instrument cluster of the same size. The dashboard will also be revamped, and the quality of the seats will also improve.

The upcoming new-generation Hyundai i20 is also expected to feature features like a Level 2-ADAS suite, a 360-degree camera, and a dashcam.

The initial model of the next-generation Hyundai i20 was spotted while heavily camouflaged. Nevertheless, it reveals several details, including a more boxy shape and a design that aligns with the brand's latest design philosophy.

It is expected to come with a host of features, including an LED light bar, sleek headlights, connected taillights, a large rectangular grille at the front, a redesigned bumper with updated air dams, and a new set of alloy wheels for the side profile.

While the next-generation Hyundai i20 is expected to feature major changes to its exterior and interior, its engine options are likely to remain the same as the current model. However, it is expected that the brand may introduce a hybrid engine for international markets. For India, it will either be powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol engine as before or the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine found in the N-Line variant.
