The Chinese Vivo company has unveiled its first wireless over-the-ear headphones. The new model of Vivo Over-Ear Noise Cancelling Headphones features a headband design and comes in two color variations. The headphones have a dynamic driver of 40mm and the ability to cancel ambient noise to 58dB. Their audio frequency response range lies between 20Hz and 40Khz, while they are based on the BES2710Y-8X chipset.
The headphones cost CNY 499 (approx. Rs. 6,000) in China. Colors available include Breeze Purple and Clouds & Mist. Highlights: 40mm dynamic drivers, 20Hz – 40kHz frequency range, AAC, SBC, and LDAC codec support, and features DeepX 3.0 stereo sound technology. Users can also take advantage of customizable sound effects on this model.
As the name suggests, the biggest USP of these headphones is their ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) feature, which is claimed to block out 99.9% of ambient noise. These headphones claim to offer an average noise reduction depth of 31dB and a maximum noise cancellation of up to 58dB.
These headphones can automatically switch between light, normal, and deep noise cancellation modes depending on the wearer's surroundings. Their multiple-microphone setup includes three ECM microphones and two MEMS microphones. The headphones offer 10-band EQ customization, allowing for manual adjustment of sound profiles. The company says these headphones use a composite bio-diaphragm with a magnetic circuit design.
These headphones can be connected to three devices simultaneously, including smartphones, tablets, and computers. Users can manage them through the 'vivo Headphones' app. The headphones have dedicated buttons for noise cancellation and Bluetooth, volume buttons, and a power button.
The device runs on a BES2710Y-8X chip and supports Bluetooth 5.4. For gaming, these headphones offer a low latency of 47ms.
The company claims that these headphones can deliver up to 75 hours of playback on a single charge. The audio device can be charged via a USB Type-C port, and it takes approximately 2.5 hours to charge the battery from zero to 100 percent. Its dimensions are 181.6×147.6×86.3mm and it weighs approximately 238 grams.
