Match number 24 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 will witness the clash between the defending champions of IPL, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), and Delhi Capitals (DC). The match will commence at 3:30 pm at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. In the coming match, RCB will don green-colored jerseys.

RCB dons green colored jersey in one game every year. This is because of the "Green Initiative" launched by them many years ago. It is made out of reused and recycled materials. RCB is the only T20 side that has achieved carbon neutrality status.

The launch date of the initiative goes back to 2011. Till today, RCB follows this tradition religiously. Their next aim would be to achieve carbon positivity. Franchise CEO Rajesh Menon said, "Achieving carbon neutral status as a T20 franchise is the culmination of years of hard work. The green jersey reflects this vision, and we want it to inspire our fans and partners to live responsibly."

Matchday spectator behavior is also studied. Surveys are conducted at the stadium to assess arrival patterns, how many people carpool, and the carbon emissions generated by each spectator.

Ensuring proper waste segregation and proper disposal within the stadium is also part of this campaign. Behind-the-scenes, the team's travel, hotel stays, and daily energy usage are also monitored. Matchday audits will continue throughout the season, and a detailed report will be compiled, which will be independently verified.

RCB is in second place in the points table with four wins from five matches this season. The team has won its last two matches and will aim to maintain its winning streak when it takes on Delhi Capitals at home. A win against DC will help RCB regain the top spot in the points table.

Regarding Delhi Capitals, the team won their first two matches of the season, but has since lost two consecutive matches. DC will look to break their losing streak against RCB.
