In match 88 of the 12th season of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), Patna Pirates encountered Bengaluru Bulls. When the score was level at 32-32 after regulation time, the match went to a tiebreaker, which Patna Pirates won 6-5. This was the fourth victory in 14 matches for Patna, whereas for the Bulls, it was their seventh loss in 15.

During the opening five minutes of Thursday's game at the Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium, Patna led 5-4 due to Ayan and his defense. Akash tied the score, and then, with Ayan's sack, the Bulls went ahead. Patna's defense sacked Alireza on the last raid just before the end of the first quarter, leaving the Bulls leading 8-7.

In the second quarter, the Bulls repeatedly pushed Patna into a super tackle situation, but thanks to Manjeet and Ayan, they averted it each time. At one point, Patna took a four-point lead, but Alireza's multi-pointer narrowed the gap to two. However, Ayan's points in the final minute gave Patna a 16-13 lead at halftime.

After halftime, Patna regained a four-point lead thanks to Ayan, and then, with Akash's sack, the defense extended the lead to five. Meanwhile, Ayan not only completed his Super 10 with a two-point raid but also put the Bulls on the verge of an all-out. Patna then forced an all-out to take a 25-16 lead. After an all-in, Patna extended their lead to 11, but by the end of 30 minutes, the Bulls had reduced the score to 18-28.

After the break, Alireza, after taking a bonus, dealt a major blow to Patna by dismissing Ayan. The Bulls made a comeback, narrowing the deficit to eight, but the defense dispossessed Alireza, but Ganesh revived him on the next raid. The Bulls then forced Patna into a Super Tackle, and Alireza dismissed Deepak, pushing Patna towards an all-out, making it 28-30. In the thrilling final two minutes, the match was eventually tied at 32-32, but Patna continued its impressive form, defeating another major team in the form of the Giant Killers.
