The Oura Ring 5 has been launched globally on Wednesday, marking its launch as the latest product by the company in the realm of smart rings. According to the company, the wearable technology is considerably smaller in size than the Oura Ring 4, while being equipped with better sensors and several other health-related features, along with AI-based wellness offerings. Additionally, the device offers health radar, blood pressure signals, live activity tracking, and GLP-1 detection, among several other software features.
The price of Oura Ring 5 in the United States is $399 for the silver and black models. The Gold, Stealth, Brushed Silver, and Deep Rose editions of Oura Ring 5 cost $499 each. The ring is available in sizes 6 to 13 and comes with a charger based on the size. Oura has not yet revealed details regarding the wearable's availability and pricing in India.
Customers can pre-order the wearable through Oura's website and select retail partners, including Amazon, Best Buy, Costco, Target, Walmart, and other international retailers.
The company has also introduced the Oura Ring 5 charging case, a standalone accessory priced at $99 (approximately Rs. 9,400). Additionally, an Oura membership is required, for which a monthly fee of $5.99 (approximately Rs. 571) or an annual fee of $69.99 (approximately Rs. 6,600) is charged.
The Oura Ring 5 is made from lightweight titanium material and is claimed to be 40 percent smaller than the Oura Ring 4. The ring features a robust physical vapor deposition coating for improved scratch resistance. It's also IP68 rated and offers water resistance up to 100 meters.
According to the company, the Ring 5 features a new signal architecture with low-profile sensor domes, upgraded LEDs, and 12 enhanced signal pathways. This is claimed to provide improved accuracy across different finger shapes and skin tones.
A major new feature is "Health Radar." Oura says it's a proactive health-monitoring platform based on its previous Symptom Radar feature. It can continuously analyze biometric trends and currently includes blood pressure signals and nighttime breathing monitoring. The first of these features detects trends related to cardiovascular strain, while the second provides 30 days of data on breathing problems during sleep.
The Oura Ring 5 also supports live activity tracking to monitor workouts in real time through the Oura app. The company has also expanded its metabolic health features by introducing "GLP-1 Insights" for users taking GLP-1 medications.
Other new health and wellness features include Oura Health Records, which combines clinical health data with Oura's sensor information. Additionally, a partnership with Counsel Health offers AI-enabled healthcare support and an enhanced advisor AI system that provides personalized health recommendations.
There's also a new "Locate" feature, which, as the name suggests, can help users find lost rings and charging cases. Meanwhile, a new data deletion tool allows you to delete health data for a specific period of time.
Oura says that software features like Health Radar, Blood Pressure Signals, Nighttime Breathing, and GLP-1 Insights will be available in India starting June 2026 for users using the Oura app in English. Additionally, live activity tracking, locate, and data deletion features will be rolled out globally on June 4th.
