Currently, Mahindra is developing a new pickup truck based on the successful Scorpio N SUV of the company, which is named as the Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler. The pickup model has already been launched in India and now is tested. Now it has been caught testing in Johannesburg, South Africa. The pickup will be sold internationally under the name of Mahindra Lifestyler. Taking into consideration that the vehicle has the rugged look, it will definitely find fans among adventure seekers and lifestyle customers.

The Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler Pickup has been recently sighted testing near Carnival City Mall in Johannesburg, South Africa. During testing, the pickup was completely camouflaged; however, some hints about its external design have been revealed.

The pickup is currently tested in India. The company is going to launch the vehicle in the Indian market under the name of Scorpio Lifestyler, whereas in international markets it will be sold as the Mahindra Lifestyler. Both models will be manufactured in India and exported to other countries.

When introducing the Scorpio Lifestyler in India, Mahindra announced a starting ex-showroom price of ₹19.89 lakh (approximately $1.98 million USD). Deliveries will begin in April 2027. With this pickup, Mahindra aims to expand its Scorpio brand beyond the SUV segment and strengthen its presence in the lifestyle pickup segment.

However, the Mahindra Lifestyler's pricing and launch date in other international markets, including South Africa, have not yet been revealed. Therefore, it would be inaccurate to draw any definitive conclusions about its pricing and availability in foreign markets.

The front design of the testing unit spotted in South Africa features several elements that are expected to be found in the production model. It features a new, larger grille, vertical LED fog lights, LED DRLs, and LED headlights above them. Additionally, the large Mahindra badge is visible on the flat bonnet and grille.

The pickup's design mirrors the Scorpio N SUV, extending to its rear doors. However, the rear features a separate load bed for cargo storage, rather than a closed body like an SUV. This differentiates it from traditional SUVs and enhances its utility as a pickup truck.

The Mahindra Lifestyler's rear load bed is separate from the passenger cabin, similar to that found in mid-size pickup trucks. However, the bed is not completely flat and features inward-facing bulges for the wheels.

The latest spy shots did not reveal a roof rack on this testing model. Its wheels appear to be similar to those seen during the unveiling event in Mumbai. Additionally, it is expected to feature thick wheel arch cladding, 18-inch alloy wheels, and 255-section tires.
