Jaipur, July 28 — Rajasthan has moved investment proposals worth more than Rs 8 lakh crore from the ‘Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit’ into the implementation stage, with the state government now focusing on converting signed agreements into operational projects by November 2026.
Chief Secretary V. Srinivas reviewed the progress of investment memorandums of understanding (MoUs) at the Government Secretariat on Tuesday and directed all departments to accelerate execution. He stressed that the priority has shifted from the signing of agreements to ensuring that projects are physically grounded within fixed timelines.
Departments have been instructed to hold regular review meetings, resolve pending issues on a priority basis, and ensure time-bound clearance of proposals and files. Srinivas also called for closer coordination with district collectors to remove administrative and logistical hurdles that could delay project execution.
“The investment proposals must translate into actual projects. Achieving the November 2026 grounding targets is a top priority,” he said.
Additional Chief Secretary (Industries) Shikhar Agrawal presented the latest progress figures. He reported that investment proposals exceeding Rs 35 lakh crore, arising from more than 11,000 active MoUs signed during the Rising Rajasthan summit, are currently at various stages of implementation. Of this total, projects valued at more than Rs 8 lakh crore have already been grounded, while the remaining proposals are advancing according to department-wise action plans.
The Industries Department is working with other departments to speed up land allotment, statutory permissions, No Objection Certificates, Letters of Intent, Letters of Permission and other clearances required for project execution.
Srinivas noted that the Energy Department plays a critical role in supporting many of the investment projects and asked it, along with other departments, to accelerate its work to meet the November deadline.
Senior officials from the Industries, Energy, Urban Development, Tourism, Information Technology, Agriculture, Civil Aviation, AYUSH, RIICO, RVUNL and RRECL departments attended the review. District collectors from across the state also participated through video conferencing.
The meeting signals a clear administrative push to convert the large volume of MoUs signed at the investment summit into tangible economic activity on the ground within the next 16 months.
