As per the instruction of SAI, all the sporting bodies are supposed to get their athletes and coaches to sign an affidavit and enroll themselves in the National Sports Repository System. The player and the coach should be made to submit details about themselves. It is mandatory for every player to produce a certificate of medical fitness along with the affidavit. SAI has directed that unfit players will not participate in the Asian Games.

Athletes are verbally instructed to maintain discipline and respect the Indian flag. This time, a written affidavit has been requested, stating that they will uphold the spirit of sportsmanship, refrain from match-fixing, betting, age fraud, maintain discipline, and not bring disrepute to the country, the Indian Olympic Association, and the National Sports Federation. The affidavit will be signed and stamped by the athlete, along with a sports association official.

Most athletes used to propose the names of their fathers or relatives instead of their actual coaches for cash awards. Medical fitness certificates have been made mandatory for all athletes, as well as dental examinations. If an athlete is undergoing rehabilitation, they will be required to provide medical certification to participate in the Asian Games.
