The company, a player in the denim and textile industry, also continued to strengthen its long-term cost-efficiency strategy through an investment in renewable energy.

Nandan Denim reported revenue from operations of ₹622.39 lakh during Q1 FY27, compared with ₹1,047.68 lakh in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

Despite the decline in revenue, the company managed to improve its reported net profit to ₹14.80 lakh from the year-ago level, reflecting the impact of tighter expense management.

Total expenses declined to ₹614.50 lakh during the quarter from ₹1,034.40 lakh a year earlier, broadly in line with the reduction in revenue.

Profit before tax stood at ₹10.32 lakh during Q1 FY27, compared with ₹14.82 lakh in the corresponding quarter last year.

The reported net profit was supported by a ₹5.07 lakh tax-related credit arising from short provision of income tax or deferred tax relating to earlier years.

Alongside its quarterly performance, Nandan Denim has taken a strategic step towards securing renewable power.

The company acquired a 6.1% stake in Opera Vayu (Narmada) Private Limited for ₹4 crore. The investment involves 40,02,096 equity shares acquired on July 13, 2026 and is linked to procuring wind and solar power through the group captive renewable energy route.

For an energy-intensive textile business, the initiative could support greater visibility over power sourcing and potentially improve cost efficiency over the longer term.

The Board has also approved the re-appointment of Jyotiprasad Devkinandan Chiripal as Managing Director for another five-year term, subject to shareholder approval.
