Apollo Micro Systems Q1 Results: Defence Stock Reports 88% Revenue Growth, PAT Rises 43% YoY

Apollo Micro Systems reported revenue from operations of ₹251.3 crore in Q1 FY27, compared with ₹134 crore in Q1 FY26. This represents an 88.1% year-on-year increase, reflecting strong execution and sustained demand from the defence sector.

Total revenue for the quarter stood at around ₹254 crore, up approximately 88.6% from the year-ago period. However, revenue was lower sequentially compared with the ₹293 crore reported in Q4 FY26. 

The company’s profit after tax increased 42.5% year-on-year to ₹25.2 crore from ₹17.7 crore in Q1 FY26.

EBITDA increased during the quarter, although the operating margin moderated compared with the previous quarter. According to reported results, EBITDA stood at around ₹48 crore, while the EBITDA margin was approximately 21.4%. 

The growth in profitability comes against the backdrop of strong revenue expansion, highlighting the company’s improving scale and continued execution of defence-related orders.

Apollo Micro Systems is a Hyderabad-based defence and aerospace technology company engaged in the design and manufacture of defence electronics, embedded systems, electronic warfare systems, electro-optic systems and weapon-system solutions.

The company supplies products and solutions to India’s defence ecosystem, including organisations such as DRDO, HAL and BEL. Its FY26 performance had already marked a significant expansion, with consolidated revenue reaching ₹904.3 crore and PAT at ₹107.4 crore. 

The company’s consolidated order book stood at ₹1,432 crore as of March 31, 2026, providing visibility for future execution. 

Strategic expansion adds to growth outlook

Apollo Micro Systems has also been expanding its capabilities through strategic initiatives and acquisitions. During FY26, the company completed the acquisition of IDL Explosives through its subsidiary Apollo Defence Industries, while also receiving a DPIIT licence for UAV manufacturing and securing its first export order.

The company has indicated that another acquisition is expected to be completed before the end of FY27, which management expects to complement its organic growth and strengthen its overall business capabilities. 

Apollo Micro Systems shares closed at ₹403.85 on August 7, 2026, according to market data cited in reports. The stock has remained a closely watched defence-sector counter amid the broader focus on India’s defence manufacturing and indigenisation theme. 

With strong Q1 revenue growth, double-digit profit growth, a sizeable order book and continued investments in defence capabilities, Apollo Micro Systems enters FY27 with a positive operating backdrop. Investors, however, will closely track margins, order execution, cash flows and the contribution from its strategic acquisitions in the coming quarters.
