New Delhi [India], May 26: Surat-based Bhatia Communications & Retail (India) Limited reported a strong financial performance for FY26, with standalone net profit rising 21.3% year-on-year to ₹16.76 crore, driven by robust sales growth and continued retail expansion across Gujarat and Maharashtra.

The company’s revenue from operations surged to ₹591.42 crore in FY26 from ₹442.71 crore in the previous financial year, reflecting strong demand across its consumer electronics and mobile retail business. Total income for the year stood at ₹595.24 crore.

For the quarter ended March 31, 2026, the company posted a sharp 55% rise in net profit at ₹4.55 crore compared to ₹2.93 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Quarterly revenue from operations climbed significantly to ₹170.09 crore against ₹103.77 crore in Q4 FY25.

Profit before tax for FY26 increased to ₹22.67 crore from ₹18.31 crore a year earlier, while total annual expenses rose to ₹572.57 crore amid higher scale of operations and expansion-related costs. The company reported a tax expense of ₹5.91 crore for the year.

The retailer also reported improvement in shareholder returns, with basic earnings per share rising to ₹1.31 in FY26 from ₹1.10 in the previous year. Q4 basic EPS stood at ₹0.35.

In a sign of strengthening financial stability, the company’s debt-equity ratio improved to 0.03 as of March 31, 2026, compared to 0.09 a year earlier. Other equity rose sharply to ₹118.52 crore from ₹66.85 crore in FY25, while paid-up equity share capital stood at ₹14.06 crore.

The Board of Directors recommended a final dividend of Re 0.01 per equity share of face value ₹1 each for FY26, subject to shareholder approval at the upcoming Annual General Meeting.

The board also approved the re-appointment of Chartered Accountant Abhishek Mittal as Internal Auditor for a five-year term beginning April 1, 2026.

The company said its statutory auditors, R P R & Co, issued an unmodified opinion on the standalone audited financial results approved at the board meeting held on May 25, 2026.

Founded in 1996 as a mobile handset retailer, Bhatia Communications & Retail (India) Limited has expanded into one of western India’s prominent electronics retail chains with 253 stores spanning nearly 1.93 lakh square feet across Gujarat and Maharashtra. The company operates across categories including smartphones, home appliances, and consumer durables, and is currently accelerating its expansion into semi-urban Maharashtra markets.

The company attributes its operational efficiency to direct procurement, a net debt-free balance sheet, and a customer conversion rate of nearly 98%, while maintaining an average store payback period of 12–13 months.
