After its continuous efforts in updating its Pulsar range since August, Bajaj seems ready to roll out similar updates to its 160cc Pulsar NS160. In fact, the first images of this updated bike have come out recently without any disguise while being tested.

The bike still maintains the same look; however, there have been many technical and mechanical updates made to this particular model. This test bike now comes equipped with a new TFT instrument console, new handlebar switch, and new control. WP branded USD front forks have been fitted for better riding comfort.

Currently, the 160cc Pulsar NS160 SS has 37mm USD front forks. It is yet to be known whether the new forks from WP will make any difference to the riding comfort. Apart from that, the NS160 still has the same set of features such as alloy wheels, front disc brake, and underbelly exhaust. The bike captured in this camera remains recognizable, with its muscular fuel tank, angular tank extensions, split seats, and rear grab rails.

The images reveal a new rectangular TFT console that looks similar to the units found in the updated Pulsar range. The bike also features revised switchgear, with a directional control pad on the left and red switches on the right. It will also feature a new display that will feature Google Maps Mirroring, smartphone connectivity, and document storage.

The current Pulsar NS160 is powered by a 160.3cc, oil-cooled, twin-shark, four-valve, fuel-injected engine. This engine produces 17PS of power and 14.6Nm of torque. The current model features a Nitrox rear monoshock, a 300mm disc brake at the front, and a 230mm disc brake at the rear, all with dual-channel ABS. The bike has a kerb weight of 152kg and a 12-litre fuel tank.

In August, Bajaj launched the N160 SS, followed by the new-generation Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150. The NS400Z subsequently received a new TFT variant, and now the updated N250 SS has reached dealerships with a 6-speed gearbox and sports shifter. Its current starting price, ex-showroom, is ₹126,301.
