The feature is an optional one that allows LinkedIn users to show their LinkedIn verified details on the caller id service. The integration has been quite significant and is linked with the LinkedIn’s announcement of better tools for verification on their platform. This step by LinkedIn will help them in getting rid of fake profiles and fake accounts, hence making the platform more reliable for users. This feature is available for both LinkedIn verified users as well as new users.

Caller id service Truecaller has now tied up with the professional social networking site, LinkedIn. As per the latest integration with Truecaller, LinkedIn users will now be able to share their professional information on the Truecaller’s calling card.

The feature basically allows Truecaller users to display their name and profile image from their LinkedIn. Existing as well as new users of LinkedIn can use ‘Verified on LinkedIn’ option to share their workplace, organization and job position on their Truecaller profile. These details will be visible to anyone calling them, provided they have chosen to display that information. Once displayed, Truecaller users can also tap on the caller's LinkedIn profile to learn more about their professional background.

This is largely due to new tools LinkedIn has introduced to combat fake profiles on its platform. LinkedIn will now allow verified profiles to vouch for and verify other verified profiles, provided they have known each other for at least a year. This is essentially an effort to expand the scope of genuine and authentic profiles on LinkedIn's network.

LinkedIn Company Page administrators will also soon be able to identify and verify fake people claiming to be employees. This gives companies the power to clean up and choose who appears in search results related to their company name. The network is also working on adding a dedicated verification process that will allow workplaces to verify users who claim to be their employees on LinkedIn.
