The former was first launched in some select global markets during the month of May, in honor of the 10th Anniversary of Sony’s 1000X range while the latter was launched during the month of February. Both feature improved active noise cancellation (ANC) capabilities, AI calling abilities, Google Gemini compatibility and new smart listening capabilities.

In India, the Sony 1000X The Collexion is priced at ₹59,990, while the Sony WF-1000XM6 retails at ₹29,990. The colors available for both are Black, with the headphones also being available in Platinum and the earbuds in Platinum Silver. Sony, according to an official press statement, will commence the sales from the 7th of August via Amazon, Flipkart, selected Croma and Reliance Digital stores, Sony Centres and ShopAtSC.com.

The Sony 1000X The Collexion features a closed-back over-ear design, a wide cushioned headband, redesigned earcups, and a lightweight body weighing approximately 320 grams. These headphones use custom 30mm dynamic drivers, featuring a new high-rigidity dome and soft edge structure made from unidirectional carbon composite material. They are powered by the HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN3 and Integrated Processor V3, and their sound tuning was developed in collaboration with mastering engineers under the company's 'For the Music' initiative.
