Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Arunachal Pradesh today. In Itanagar, Arunachal Chief Minister Pema Khandu welcomed PM Modi by giving him a gift. PM Modi inaugurated the Sela Tunnel here. Apart from this he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of several projects in the North East. A large number of people gathered in this program.

The Sela Tunnel is the world's longest tunnel constructed at a height of 13,000 feet. The Arunachal Pradesh districts of West Kaming and Tawang will be connected by this double-lane, all-weather tunnel. There isn't another way to go to LAC.
The Prime Minister will visit Jorhat in the afternoon after visiting Arunachal Pradesh, where he will dedicate a 125-foot-tall statue of the legendary Ahom warrior Lachit Borphukan in Holongathar.
