The sixth match of PSL took place between Lahore Qalandars (LHQ) and Karachi Kings (KRK) at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. There is an issue of ball tampering in this match. One of the strong batsmen of Lahore Qalandars is Fakhar Zaman.

In the last over of the match, 14 runs were required by Karachi Kings to win. Haris Rauf was to ball in this over. After this, Lahore captain Shaheen Shah Afridi and Fakhar Zaman proceeded to the run-up area of the bowler and stood nearby. All of them took turns to touch the ball. It is said that Zaman tampered with the seam of the ball. All of this is recorded in the camera.

Umpire Faisal Afridi was also watching the incident. He immediately asked for the ball and examined it. After discussing with square leg umpire Sharfud-ud-Daula, the umpires confirmed ball tampering and penalized Lahore five runs. The umpires then changed the ball. Karachi needed only nine runs to win, and the team won the match by four wickets with three balls to spare.

Captain Shaheen Shah Afridi was angered by the umpire's decision. When asked about the incident after the match, he did not give a direct answer. When Rameez Raja asked him about ball tampering, he said, "I don't know about it. We'll see if it's on camera and then discuss it. Basically, five runs were taken, and we can't do anything. Like, you can't say."

Talking about the match, Lahore Qalandars, batting first, scored 128 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Karachi Kings achieved the target by losing 6 wickets in 19.3 overs. This is Karachi's second consecutive win, taking them to the top of the table. Lahore, on the other hand, is in second place after winning one of their two matches.
