Right-wing political journalist TG Mohandas was arrested at his residence in Mattancherry last Sunday. He has been charged with having made derogatory comments in one of his YouTube videos regarding student agitation in Delhi over the NEET paper leak.

According to the reports, a group from the Thiruvananthapuram Cyber Police Station, along with the help of local police, arrived at the residence of Mohandas in Koovappadam near Mattancherry last Sunday evening. The police confirmed that Mohandas was at his residence during the time of his arrest.

It was reported that the police had gathered some information regarding his YouTube channel and other digital devices that were used for uploading those videos. Mohandas will be questioned extensively as part of the investigation.

The case was filed based on a complaint alleging that the video uploaded to Mohandas's YouTube channel, "Patrika," was intended to disturb public peace and create fear and unrest among the public.

In the video, Mohandas allegedly said that the student protests in Delhi could lead to gang rape incidents and claimed that there would be no complaints because "those involved in the protests like rape and there are girls who enjoy rape."

He also said that if he were in charge, he would impose a curfew and order the protesters to disperse, and if they refused, he would order firing.

He further claimed that even if some people were killed or permanently injured, the situation would be brought under control within a few hours, and the bodies would be taken to hospitals.
