A South Indian actress and a former contestant of Bigg Boss Tamil, named Julie, has come out with strong allegations against the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Thalapathy Vijay and TVK, party of the Chief Minister.

In a press conference held at Chennai, Julie stated that she had undergone an abortion because of continuous mental harassment from Vijay and TVK, party of the Chief Minister, through social media.

According to Julie, she and her spouse had been receiving mental harassment from Vijay's TVK party members for more than two months now. Julie filed a complaint against eight individuals last month when the DMK government ruled the state.

The actress alleges that once the government changed hands and Vijay became the Chief Minister, she was informed that her complaint against these people is treated as a case of defamation rather than criminal charges.

Julie claims that the eight people she had mentioned were all followers of the Chief Minister's party TVK. The actress also alleged that after the complaints had been filed, someone defamed her again via social media claiming Julie was part of a kidney scam of ₹15 lakh.

Emotionally, during the press conference, Julie said that she had recently married and was pregnant. The constant mental stress and trolling led to her miscarriage.

She said, "False and defamatory stories were spread about me and my husband. This mental torture led to my miscarriage. If Vijay had just once asked his supporters to stop trolling, perhaps my child would still be alive."

Although Julie also said that Vijay did not directly do anything, the activities of his supporters could have been stopped.

Maria Juliana, known as Julie, was formerly a nurse by profession. She came into the limelight during the Jallikattu movement in Tamil Nadu in 2017. She then participated in the first season of Bigg Boss Tamil, which brought her popularity. She later appeared in several TV shows and films.

After entering politics, actor Vijay quickly gained popularity through his party, TVK. He was considered to have a strong hold among youth and first-time voters. During his election campaign, he made corruption, unemployment, education, and clean politics his main issues.

Following his election success, Vijay was elected leader of the legislative party and was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. After becoming Chief Minister, he stated that his priority was to address issues concerning the general public and youth.
