The Dzire is a subcompact sedan by Maruti Suzuki in India. If you are planning to purchase the base variant (LXI) of the vehicle, what will be your EMI per month after making an initial payment of Rs 2 lakh?

LXI is the base variant. The cost of the variant in the showroom is Rs 6.25 lakh. You will have to pay the same cost in Delhi along with registration and RTO taxes. You will have to pay around Rs 46,000 for RTO and Rs 39,000 for insurance while purchasing the vehicle. After this, the on-road price of the car in Delhi becomes ₹7.17 lakh.

If you purchase the base variant of the Maruti Dzire, the bank will finance the ex-showroom price. So, after making a down payment of ₹2 lakh, you'll have to finance approximately ₹5.17 lakh from the bank. If the bank gives you ₹5.17 lakh for seven years at 9% interest, you'll have to pay an EMI of just ₹8,315 per month for the next seven years.

If you take a car loan of Rs 5.17 lakh from a bank for seven years at an interest rate of 9%, you will have to pay an EMI of Rs 8315 every month for seven years. In this case, you will pay around Rs 1.81 lakh as interest for the base variant of Maruti Dzire in seven years. After which, the total price of your car including ex-showroom, on-road and interest will be around Rs 8.98 lakh.

The new generation Dzire is brought by Maruti in the compact sedan car segment. In this segment, it directly competes with compact sedan cars like Hyundai Aura, Honda Amaze, Tata Tigor. Apart from this, it also faces competition in terms of price from some premium hatchback cars and compact SUVs.
