Petrol, diesel, LPG, and CNG prices after the recent fall in international crude oil prices have been announced throughout the country. However, the prices of petrol and diesel have not come down as of yet.

In India, there are state-owned oil companies that update the prices of petrol and diesel daily at 6 am. At the moment, the crude oil price is less than $84 per barrel. This Monday, August 3, Brent crude and WTI fell. As of now, the Brent crude price is about $4 down to $83.74 per barrel.

Since the prices of petrol and diesel in India have not been revised, the following need to be noted that in Delhi, the petrol price is ₹102.12 per liter and diesel ₹95.20 per liter, while in Kolkata and Chennai, the petrol price is ₹113.05 per liter and diesel ₹97.80 per liter.

While petrol and diesel prices remain stable, there has been a significant reduction in the prices of commercial LPG cylinders (LPG price today). Effective August 1, the price of a 19-kg commercial gas cylinder has been reduced by more than ₹200. This will benefit hotels, restaurants, dhabas, and other commercial establishments.

However, there has been no change in the price of a 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder. Domestic consumers will still receive the cylinder at the old rates.

Seeing different states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, or Jharkhand, in Lucknow, the price of a domestic cylinder is ₹979.5 and a commercial cylinder is ₹2,860.5. Whereas in Bhopal, domestic cylinder is priced at ₹970 and commercial cylinder at ₹2,746. In Ranchi, 14.2 kg cylinder is priced at ₹999.5 and commercial cylinder is priced at ₹2,922.5.

It is also a matter of relief for CNG consumers that there has been no change in CNG prices in most of the major cities of the country. According to the rates given on IGL's website, CNG prices in Delhi are stable at Rs 83.09 per kg. The price of 1 kg CNG in Noida remains at 91.70 and in Ghaziabad at 91.70.
